When I moved to SW FL, 2.5 yrs ago, I tried every Chinese carry-out place in the area (South Fort Myers, Estero and Bonita Springs) to no avail. When I found China King, I was so ecstatic! I now travel about 20 minutes from my home to their location when I'm in the mood for Chinese food. They're the only place around that sells one of my favorites, Shrimp Toast! I have tried their Egg Rolls, Shrimp Toast, Won Ton Soup, Chicken with Broccoli, Chicken Fried Rice and Sweet & Sour Chicken, and I'd give all of them "two thumbs up!"

It's your normal run of the mill Chinese take out restaurant. The prices are reasonable the portions are large. The pork fired rice was a little bland, but a little bit of soy source solved that issue. All in all I would eat here again.

When I phoned in my order, they laid down the phone instead of putting me on hold. Noise and clamor for at least two minutes. Should have cut my loss there. The non-oriental that took my order, did not know the menu so I had to order by number from their website. She never asked my name, phone number or told me what time before hanging up. I have heard the expression "Chinese fire drill" but never saw one until this restaurant. Children and people in the small crowded kitchen. We had to figure out my order by telling what it was and then they looked through a stack. I paid while waiting and it was a good 15 minutes wait after the website said 15 minutes total. No thank you when the order was finally delivered. The hot and sour soup was greasy and flavorless The tai Chen chicken tasted like it was coated in sugar and starch. Terrible meal, terrible service, terrible experience. Never again. I would give them a 0 star if I could.

Just normal, run-of-the-mill take-out Chinese food. Nothing special. I like the chicken wings, but would avoid the chicken fried rice. Beef and pork are decent grabs.

She said: We purchased food to take back to our hotel. Their soft drinks are canned. The food was pretty good. I think they were having A/C issues that day, though, because the dining room was just so hot!

For me the key to a really good take out Chinese place is whether they will happily customize a dish for you, with just the meat and veggies you want, even a lunch time. China King does it with a smile, and their food is fresh and cooked just right, plus they provide brown rice as a choice. Gotta say, I'm a regular!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
